Winter is the most wonderful time of the year! It is an exciting time to add beautiful lighting to brighten your long winter nights, while providing a warm, cozy glow during your holiday festivities.
Here at Elegance Lamps, I have been as busy as a Christmas elf working on delightful creations for home lighting. You will notice my recent interest in chinoiserie, as reflected in the Asian motif antique textiles and beads used to create the newly released beaded antique lamps and Victorian lampshades. These pieces are designed to enhance the beauty of your surroundings, serve a functional purpose, and are ethically created using upcycled materials with zero ecological impact.
Art Deco lamps and shades have been added to the collection this season! Art Deco is an enduring favorite style of collectors and selection in the marketplace is often minimal, so it is a delight to offer pieces that not only meet the continued demand, but also serve as functional heirloom art.
A collection of lamps and shades would not be complete without the inclusion of Bohemian styles. With vivid colors and layered patterns, these pieces are certain to speak to the free-spirited and joyful nature of the people who enjoy the Bohemian home aesthetic.

Antique table lamp and chinoiserie themed floral silk Victorian lampshade with antique laces and handstrung glass bead fringe
East meets west with this fabulous blue chinoiserie lantern! A silk lampshade with cherry blossom motif, paired with an authentic American antique lamp from the 1920s and sparkly beads! “Cherry Blossom” by Crystal Hayes at Elegance Lamps.
The lampshade is a smaller version of the standard “lantern” style and looks magnificent enveloped in vintage textiles and complimentary beads.
The hand-strung beadwork on the shade is stunning, and includes gold foil Czech tubes, Swarovski crystals and gold-plated metal beads. By day, the beads twinkle under hints of light. By night, they radiate a warm, soft glow. The lamp features a handmade pull chain charm with a large cloisonné drop, natural stone and Czech beads.
The base is an authentic 1929 stamped cast metal Art Deco piece of American history, with a gorgeous orb centerpiece. Hand-painted in glowing gold. The base has been re-wired by a certified electrician using new UL Listed parts to ensure another one hundred years of use. The antique finial is a heavy cast metal and is painted to complement the lamp and shade.

A delightful creation with chinoiserie Art Deco patterns and shapes, this boudoir-sized accent lamp and beaded silk shield lampshade pairing is a 1930’s gem!
The handmade Victorian lampshade features hand-dyed silk, a collection of antique textiles, and a gorgeous display of handstrung beads. Colors incorporated into the lampshade include yellow, green, blue, aqua, and gold.
The beadwork is handstrung Czech glass, Swarovski crystals, authentic vintage cloisonné beads, and gold-plated metal beads. The sparkling crystals are simply astonishing, and the color match between beads and shade is perfection. Shade attaches to lamp with built-in clip for torpedo shaped bulbs.
The antique lamp base is a heavy 1930’s cast metal beauty featuring a golden wren in original paint. The base is rewired by a certified electrician using new UL Listed parts.

Shield Style Silk Victorian Lampshade and Antique Lamp
A boudoir-sized antique lamp paired with a shield-style silk Victorian lampshade inspired by Art Deco patterning and form. This piece combines historic textiles, beaded detail, and a sculptural silhouette in a compact, expressive scale.
The Deco Rose shield lampshade is handmade using fine silks and antique textiles, with a color palette of gold, amber, purple, gray, and bronze. The shade is designed with a built-in clip fitter for torpedo-shaped bulbs.
Beadwork includes hand-strung Czech crystals, authentic vintage cloisonné beads, and vintage seed beads. These elements create subtle light refraction during the day and a warm glow when illuminated. A complementary handmade beaded detail hangs from the shoulders of the lamp.
The antique lamp base is a heavy cast metal form featuring meandering vines and small floral motifs. It has been hand painted and fully rewired by a certified electrician using new UL-listed components. The lamp features a medium socket with push-through switching. The knob on the base is decorative.

The handmade Victorian lampshade is designed with fine silk, antique textiles, and handstrung beads. The shade displays soft, light colors by day and radiant color by night. Colors incorporated into the lampshade include spring green, iris purple, coral, ecru, amber, and silver.
The beads on the shade are handstrung and include antique satin tubes in white, fine Czech crystals, nacre glass pearls, and silver-plated metal beads, arranged in a harmonious structure that brings a sense of calm.
