Thank you for your interest in commissioning Elegance Lamps. Please use the form below to share details about your project so I can review your request. After reviewing your submission, I’ll follow up to discuss feasibility and next steps. If we decide to move forward, you will then be guided to place a $200 non-refundable deposit to commence design work. Refer to the footnotes for measuring instructions, fitter types, and general cost indicators. You are welcome to upload photos of your existing lamp and any lampshade designs that inspire you.
Elegance Lamps provides all materials for custom commissions to ensure quality and design integrity. Customer-provided materials are not used.
I look forward to working with you!
$ Cost Indicator
Selections made using this indicator will increase the price of your lampshade. Hand-strung beads take weeks to source, design, and create. Antique textiles and trims are rare, often one-of-a-kind, and are costly to procure.
*Fitter types
Spider Fitter – This is a washer with a hole in it near the top of the lampshade. The washer portion rests on a harp, and a finial screws into the harp to secure the lampshade in place. Most US table lamps with a finial have spider fitters.
Uno fitter – Used on bridge lamps. The lampshade screws onto the socket and hangs away from the lamp post. Most common with floor lamps that have an arm that holds the shade.
Euro fitter – If you live in Europe, you will need this fitter. Please allow 8 weeks for your wire frame to be custom fabricated with this fitter type.
** Dimensions
Lampshade length (height) is the top horizontal wire to longest bottom wire. Measure the inside center of the shade, not down the front of it. The easiest way to measue is to place the lampshade on a flat surface and put a ruler or stiff tape measure down the center of the shade until it hits the table. Measure in inches. Include fringe length separately. Width: Measure the widest point across the lampshade (not around it). See detailed instructions in my blog post: A Guide to Measuring a Lampshade for a Replacement.
