The lamp base is an amazing antique gem in cast metal, jadeite, and steel. Geometric patterns, a columnar silhouette and a swirling post are exemplary of Art Deco styling. The lamp was fully rewired by a certified electrician using new UL listed parts. The base was hand-painted to complement the shade. The antique finial adds a magical touch to the lamp, in faceted green glass, cast metal and artistic paint.
The handstrung beadwork on the shade--totaling over 2,100 pieces—includes rare faceted antique jadeite tubes from the 1920’s, faceted and round Czech beads, and vintage heavy cloisonne beads that repeat the shapes and colors of the floral design. The handmade pull chain features Czech and gold-plated metal beads.
