Gothic Victorian lampshade and antique lamp
Crimson is a Victorian lampshade and antique lamp pairing made for interiors that embrace Gothic color, contrast, and shadow.
The handmade lampshade is constructed with pure silk panels and features an overlay of historic antique silk lace on the short panels. This lace is period-made, composed entirely of silk, and no longer manufactured, making it materially rare and impossible to replicate. The long panels feature vintage dimensional black rose vine designs, accented with handmade tassels detailed with crimson beads. The shade is finished with long black luxury rayon fringe.
The lamp base is an original early twentieth-century antique cast in metal and retaining its original surface, with wear consistent with age and use. The finial is vintage brass, hand-painted in onyx. All new electrical parts.
The lamp operates with a pull chain switch at the neck and is finished with a handmade jeweled pull.
